DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED \nThe Knights of Columbus of the Cardinal Stritch Council #4620 and the St. Matthias Council #16945 invite all boys and girls ages 9 to 14 to participate in the local level of competition for the 2024 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held Saturday\, January 6th at 12:00 – 2:00 pm at the On The Square Sports Academy located at 105 N. Court Street in Crown Point.  \nParticipants are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. \nThe Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually\, with winners progressing through local\, district\, and state competitions.  International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus of the Cardinal Stritch Council #4620 and the St. Matthias Council #16945 invite all boys and girls ages 9 to 14 to participate in the local level of competition for the 2022 Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge to be held Saturday\, September 10th from 10:00 – 12:00 noon at the St. Matthias athletic field\, west of the church at 101 W. Burrell Dr. in Crown Point.  \nParticipants are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent. \nThe Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge is sponsored annually\, with winners progressing through local\, district\, and state competitions.  International champions are announced by the K of C international headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. DESCRIPTION:Good evening Brothers\, \nTomorrow night is our November meeting to be held in the banquet room at Schoop’s Restaurant\, 1124 N. Main St. in Crown Point. The meeting is to begin at 6:30 pm. You are welcomed to come earlier and order from Schoop’s great menu. \nDuring the meeting We will breakdown the timeline for the Holiday Pierogi Sale fundraiser to be held Saturday\, November 14th in Shelter #1 in the Lake County Fairgrounds. \nThis is our major fundraiser directly benefiting of our Council and we are expecting a lot of prepaid and walkup customers.  Any able bodied Knights are needed to load the freezer truck on Friday\, November 13 and all Knights thinking of helping for the Pierogi Pick up are expected to be at the fairgrounds the next morning November 14th at 7:00 a.m. The pick-up hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. If you can work the 13th or can only give us an hour or four on the 14th\, PLEASE come out. We will need as many Knights as we can get to ensure a smooth running event. The Council is located at 218 S 4th Street\, Lafayette\, IN. Candidate Registration: 11:30 AM – 12:15 PM ET. The Formation Degree will begin at 12:30 PM ET with 3rd Degree to follow. There will no admission after that as doors will be closed.   \nCandidates should arrive in St. Mary’s back parking lot no later than 9:30 AM to form a caravan. SUMMARY:Women's Center of Northwest Indiana Reception
DESCRIPTION:In June\, Cardinal Stritch Council 4620 voted to help fund half the price of a new state-of-art ultrasound for the Women’s Center of Northwest Indiana in Crown Point.  Last month\, Council 4620\, the Indiana State Council\, as well as the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus\, matched the funds raised by the Center and the machine was purchased\, delivered and installed. \nAs a thank you\, Women’s Center of Northwest Indiana is hosting a “Thank You” reception for all involved on Thursday\, October 24th from 6:30 to 7:30pm at 1845 E. Summit St. (across from the Culver’s Restaurant near Summit and Broadway). \nThere will be a tour of the Center and a demonstration of the machine.  Refreshments will be served.
