Another of our brothers and Council co-founders has been sent home to the glory of God.

Banks I. “Bud” Jacobs, passed away on October 8th at 92. He was member of a group of Catholic gentlemen of St. Mary’s Church in Crown Point that founded Cardinal Stritch Council 4620. He was more than an active member, holding many of the offices of the Council as well as Grand Knight.

Bud was also a member of American Legion Post No #20, (WWII veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the South Pacific Theater) and Purdue University Mechanical Engineering Class of 1949. He retired in 1983 from U.S. Steel Gary Works as a General Supervisor of Design, Engineering Department.

Surviving Bud are his wife Nancy Jo (nee McNeice); sons Robert, Richard, and Donald. Bud adored all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews, including our Past Grand Knight, Larry Biegel.
