With a new pastor comes new experiences.

St. Mary’s pastor, Father Kevin Huber, will be holding the May Crowning of Blessed Virgin Mary, the Patron of our parish, on Sunday, May 1st at 2:00 p.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church. The church is located at 321 E. Joliet St. in Crown Point.

This is the first time this ceremony will be done at the parish that bears her name. The Knights of the Cardinal Stritch Council 4620 have been asked to have the honor of carrying the Blessed Virgin Mary into, processing throughout the church and finally out of the 60-minute celebration which will include singing hymns to Our Lady, asking her help and intercession, and paying her due respect as Queen of Heaven and Earth by crowning Our Lady with flowers.

There will be a reception hosted by the Altar and Rosery Club afterwards from our old meeting room in St. Agnes Center.

Please invite your spouses, children, relatives, and friends to join you for this joyful celebration!
